Sparky recently turned five years old, having celebrated his birthday in early November 2012. He has beautiful soft white hair, weighs 14 pounds and is sweet, loving and very affectionate. He loves to be with people, following his foster mom from room to room as she moves around the house.
Sparky loves to snuggle on the couch, in chairs or in bed at night. He doesn't bark or growl and has a quiet, kind and easygoing disposition. He is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs, men and women. He is a little shy at first, but very curious about each new person he meets and is relaxed around other dogs.
Sparky is learning about city life. He is adapting quickly to all the new smells, sights and sounds. He learned how to walk on a leash in less than five days and now loves to go on walks through the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Most of all, he loves to give and receive affection, especially belly rubs!
Sparky just got a haircut and will be even cuter once his hair grows back a little. The vet gave him a "clean bill of health." He has always been loved and is now looking for a family to love him forever, with either a fenced yard or time to take walks.
Sparky is being fostered on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
