Lexi is just about perfect, a six year old sable colored Havanese with a heart of pure love and a sweet little face to match. She has been through a lot in her short life, but she will soon be ready to move on to her new adventure with a forever family and is getting prepared! She loves to go on walks and explore, sitting patiently while waiting to be leashed.
Lexi is crate trained and will sleep in the crate at night although she has learned that cuddling next to her foster dad is the best place to be during storms and a nice warm spot on the bed isn't so bad either.
Lexi doesn't mind being left alone but is thrilled when her foster parents return. For the most part she is house trained and will go to the door to go out but doesn't bark or scratch at the door, so her new family will have to be "trained" to take her out every couple of hours.
She is a bit shy and chooses to stay close to her foster parents by sleeping under the desk when someone is working or lying next to them on the recliner. She does wait for permission before jumping onto the couch where she will cuddle and loves any attention she gets.
Lexi is a very L dainty eater and never begs for food. She understands basic commands like sit, wait and "let's go." She gets along well with other animals and with children, however older, respectful children would be recommended. Lexi deserves to be TOP DOG and to live with someone who will give her lots of love and dote on her.

* Fenced in back yard
* A quiet, respectful home with children 12 or older
