Cotton is a pure bred Havanese boy who weighs 11 pounds, and is only 14 years young. He’ll nap a lot while you’re gone for the day, but upon your return he gets very excited – wagging that Havie tail quite happily and bouncing around like any other dog, so happy to see you.
Cotton is housetrained, leash trained, very social and comes to his name. He is comfortable with the activities and noises of a normal household: i.e. vacuuming, dishwasher, garage door, car rides, etc. He doesn't mind daily grooming and he loves to be scratched behind his ears. He loves his foster mom and dad, and he actually demonstrates more pleasure with the company of his foster daddy, loving his cuddle time with “daddy”. Sometimes his foster mom lowers the tone of her voice to get a response from him, and it works every time!
Cotton is mature, but still young at heart as he tries his little Havanese hop/run that’s just a little less bouncy than it once was as his little stiff hind legs can't quite "spring" anymore, but this boy can still run when he wants to!
Cotton is in good health with a mild heart murmur and on an inexpensive medication once a day. This medication helps his heart pump better to ensure he lives a full life. He periodically coughs to clear the fluid in his throat so he sounds like an "old human man"in the morning!
Cotton naps on and off throughout the day, eats well and goes to the door when he has to go out to potty, which he completes in a very efficient manner, then proceeds to walk up the steps to the front door to return to his little doggy bed. Such a sweet non-demanding little guy.
This easy-going boy is being fostered in Ohio where he enjoys the company of other dogs and his stay-at-home foster mommy.
