Are you ready to meet an angel? Then we have to introduce Margie, the sweetest angel you'll ever have the privilege of knowing, maybe loving? Margie is small, she was only 9 lbs when she entered foster care, one month later she's a whopping 10 lbs. She may gain a little more, but she's so small in stature that this is probably right where she needs to be. Margie spent all 6 years of her life in a puppy mill, void of much human contact. She certainly received no love and affection. She arrived in foster care dirty and scared and non responsive to her name, Margie Lou.
When Margie's foster mom looks at her now, she says she sees the definition of faith. In one short month Margie has learned that other dogs are fun and you can learn a lot from them. She's learned that you can go out to go potty and come back in to rest and play in a comfortable home. And that a thunderstorm 
won't hurt you if you have a lap to sit in.
Margie has learned to play with toys, she's now the protector of all toys and has learned that they have to be retrieved and put back in the toy box several times a day. She's learning to walk on a leash on her own instead of having her foster sister drag her along on the leash coupler that they share.
Margie is too small to jump up on furniture but if you pick her up she's learning that sitting in your chair, having her head stroked and her belly rubbed is as close to heaven as you can get. If you don't pick her up she's quite happy lying near your chair and sleeping soundly (she snores).
Margie is strong, healthy and acts like a puppy. Watching her gain confidence and trust each day is a joy and a blessing that you, too, can experience by bringing Margie into your home, your life, and your heart. She is so smart and potty training is coming along beautifully. And she now responds to her name joyfully!
Margie would probably do best in a home with another, well-behaved dog for her to continue to learn what it is to be a dog and to be part of a family.
