Snickers is a sweet, calm pup that just turned five years old in November. Owners who could no longer keep him. He was raised him in a loving environment. He weighs about 15 pounds, and has a short, tight curly coat with shades of grey, cream and tan.
Snickers sleeps in his crate, and uses the doggie door with the other dogs, to do his business. He is a very healthy, young at heart boy, a bit on the shy side. And quite smart, too! If he has a toy in his mouth and treats are being given out, he maneuvers the toy to the side so he doesn't lose it, but can still take his treat!
Snickers has come a long way from the timid dog that he was, and will now play fetch and even return the toy to his foster mom! He has started to give her kisses and never leaves her side.
Snickers has made great strides in overcoming his fear of men and after the first week of running from his foster dad's approach, he will now allow him to pet him. His foster mom is working with him to build his confidence and trust and she has seen much improvement in a very short time.
Snickers would do best in a quiet, calm environment where someone is home much of the day to give him the attention that he craves. The adopter should be patient with Snickers, and have the desire and ability to work on leash walking and other doggie manners. A fenced yard would be a plus. He will give back affection and companionship and lots of snuggling.
Snickers is being fostered in Maryland.
