Henry is about a year old, currently about 10 pounds (but needs a few more!) and just the sweetest boy you could ever meet. He's good with kids, cats, other dogs, and loves to play. He had a pretty rough start in life, but he is making up for it now With a new leash on life, he is making the most of every moment. He would love it if his new family had some doggie brothers or sisters to play with. Big or small, he loves them all!!
He is good on leash, crate trained, coming along nicely with his housetraining, and got the all clear from his cardiologist to commence RLH as soon as possible!!
Since Henry has spent the better part of his short life in a pet store, he needed to be shown that its ok to go outside to go potty and you don't have to potty in your crate. You WILL be let out and you won't have to be in there for hours and hours on end.
Henry loves car rides and just being with his people. He makes friends easily, loves to go new places and meet new folks. Sometimes he gets a little worried, but he soon remembers that people are GREAT and he warms right up. He loves to climb up to shoulder level and put his front legs around you and give you 'hugs' and snuggle in.
He recently had successful cardiac surgery for a Grade 4-5 heart murmur with PDA (patent ductus arteriosus), a congenital heart defect. And at his post-op evaluation, the surgeon gave Henry the all clear!! His plugs are perfectly in place, no backflow, etc. Henry will need a one year follow up to check the plugs and then nothing after that for his very LONG happy life. :)
Henry is super sweet, and can't wait for his forever family to find him!
He is being fostered in NJ.
