Cody is a 4yr old bundle of love, affection, and playfulness in one fluffy white package. He is affectionately known as "Little Man" because despite his utter cuteness, he is chock full of character and ready for adventure of any kind. Cody is housetrained, walks well on leash, is accepting of being brushed and loves his crate or a warm lap to cuddle up on. Soft, squeaky toys are a favorite of Cody's and he will readily "sit" and "stay" when asked to.
When Cody came to Havanese Rescue, he was in desperate need of surgery to remove a large bladder stone. His surgery was successful and a liver biopsy at that time, revealed that he has MVD (Hepatoportal microvascular dysplasia ). This is a blood vessel abnormality inside the liver that can be medically managed with medication and a special diet.
Cody will need regular bloodwork to monitor his health, and that in conjunction with his special kibble diet & medication, will ensure a long and comfortable life for this 11.5lb. "Little Man".
Cody is being fostered on LongIsland, NY.
