One year old Willie Wonka came to HRI as a shaking, shy, tense little boy, who had no idea how to even walk on grass. Three days later and this beautiful boy has made huge progress in coming out of his shell.
Willy is still very shy and needs to be approached slowly, but once you get him on your lap he just relaxes right into you. His tail is wagging in the morning when he wakes up now, he's so happy to begin another day enveloped in love and safety.
He loves his froggy toy that his fostermom gave him, and even sleeps with it. Willy needs to build up his strength to walk, and has been doing better each day. Once his "quarantine" is over, he'll be able to make fast buddies with the resident Havie in his fosterhome. She can't wait to get near Willie, she will show him the ropes on how do be a happy Havie.
Willie Wonka is being fostered in NJ.
