Jamm is a 2-year old female mix who weighs 21lbs. Initially she was shy and timid, but within her first week of foster care, she has proven to be one of the sweetest and gentlest dogs ever.
Jamm plays well with children and other dogs. She loves all toys, especially if they make sound. She is crate-trained -- sleeping in the crate at night without a peep and crating during the day when her foster mom has to be away for any period of time. She has yet to have an ‘accident’ in the house. She enjoys being indoors or out, always with an adult companion and supervision.
Jamm is very affectionate, yet not a ‘lap dog’ per se. She is content lying on the floor quietly as her foster parents watch television, read or work. She is not afraid during thunder storms, nor does she bark excessively. Jamm is working on basic commands and obedience. She is very eager to please and loves treats, so this has proven to be very simple. Already, when told to ‘go to bed’ she crates herself.
Jamm has a long history of being the expert escape artist with her ability to scale a 5-foot fence. Her new family will need to have a very tall, secure fence, and always be diligent in watching her. As soon as she gets a good dental cleaning, she’ll be ready for her forever home!
Jamm will make a wonderful addition for some lucky family.
