Zoey is filled with the enthusiasm, energy, and joy only a young Havanese a little over one year old can have. She was surrendered by a loving family who simply didn’t feel they had enough time to give this adorable girl, and only wished the very best for her. She merrily scampers throughout her foster mom’s home always with a toy in her mouth and is very happy that she has a nice variety!
Zoey weighs about 13 lbs, and when wandering around her foster moms home, she is constantly sniffing for perhaps dropped food scraps, a toy hidden behind a chair, or really about anything she can find interesting.
Zoey has a lot of energy and dearly loves her walks and lots of exercise. In fact, a 3 mile walk is nothing to her; she has energy to spare! Her forever home will need to provide lots of exercise for this rambunctious girl!
Zoey is also very playful, and loves to play with other dogs. She’s excellent with kids, loves to run and romp around the house, and is basically a wonderful Havanese! She is an early riser, and her foster mom noted that she’ll go outside, potty, then come in and run around the house with a toy in her mouth, then run right back to bed! She also has another very typical Havanese trait: if she wants something she’ll stand on her back legs, pawing the air with her front paws!
She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but after a sniff or two she quickly warms up and will be your friend. Zoey also has very shiny, bright eyes with a beautiful expression. Her coloring is beautiful as well, and of course she knows it! She is crate trained and housebroken, but since she’s still young she’ll need patience from her new family to show her the ropes, where she needs to go, etc.
Her forever home will need to provide a lot of exercise every day. Another dog isn’t a requirement, but she does enjoy their company. Older, respectful children are fine. She will insist on lots of toys, and a nice variety of course. And because she is still considered a puppy, she’ll need a little patience and understanding. Since she is food motivated, this will help with any obedience training. Zoey is a happy, well adjusted girl and wants lots of love and attention. And of course plenty of belly rubs and snuggles!
