Kiki is a darling four-year old Havanese. She weighs 12 pounds.
Kiki is quite shy. She is nervous around people who move quickly or speak loudly. Once she gets to 
know someone, she is very loving and attentive, but it takes her a while to learn to trust each new person. She is a velcro dog and a bit of a one-person dog. Once Kiki is comfortable in her new home, her new family will find her to be bouncy, happy and playful. She is eager to please.

Kiki's favorite things include laying on the couch next to her foster family, chewing on a rawhide or toys and going for a walk. She is leash trained, house trained and crate trained. She loves to sleep in the bed with her people. She curls up at the foot of the bed and stays there for the night.
Kiki is afraid of doorways and darts through, which makes her a flight risk. She needs continued work on this behavior, learning that the threshold cannot be crossed without a command. Kiki cowers when frightened and runs from even her most loved human when she is frightened.
Kiki would do best in a quiet and calm family where someone is home throughout the day and she is allowed up on the furniture next to them as well as sleeping in the bed with them at night. She loves going for walks, as noted earlier, but prefers to "do her business" in her own backyard. She needs a fenced yard in her forever home. The walks are important times for her to bond with her family, however, and need to be continued.
