Eight-year-old Beau is a happy, loving couch potato. He weighs in at 22 pounds and could stand to loose a few of those pounds. Beau loves attention from his people and is happiest when he's close to them all on his own. He does not like bigger dogs and has been aggressive towards them in the past. He is loving towards his humans, playful, happy and obedient in most situations. Beau is fine with smaller dogs but may give a short growl if he doesn't like them being to close. He would really prefer to be an only dog.
Beau loves to to play with toys. If he could have a home of his very own with a toy box, he'd be delighted! He's quite entertaining when he plays, so his adoptive family should be ready to smile as they watch him. Beau also enjoys going on walks. He can be very defensive towards large dogs while on a leash and needs to work on this behavior.
Several years ago Beau was hit by a car. He doesn't appear to have any lingering effects from this accident. He is currently receiving eye drops for eye infection and may be referred to an Ophthalmologist so that we can learn more about his eye health. He will need daily eye drops to treat dry eye.
We look forward to learning more about Beau after he is in foster care with us a little longer. Already he has charmed his foster family with his loving and playful ways.
A donation will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended donation amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
