Roman (Romeo) came into Havanese Rescue in 2007 as a very scared boy. He learned to trust and love people, and as he did so, he became a happy boy. The favorite in his life was his sissy, Paige. He ran to the Rainbow Bridge where he is now playing with his buddies, Tula and Frannie, and watches over his family, left hearbroken behind.
When he came to his loving family, Roman was a 2 year old Havanese living with his foster mom Pat in MO. In "his own words" when he was first fostered, he wrote a bio: I wanted to just let everyone know that I am here. Please don't let the short hair cut fool you I AM HAVANESE. I call the first picture - Me Chilling with a "bad" hair day.
I like every one and just love to be petted, rubbed and all the attention you can give me. I am working on being potty trained and working really hard to learn to go outside. My foster mom is helping me with that. I get along with other dogs - I have a foster sister and she & I get along really okay. I don't mind cats, but watch out squirrels. I love to play and chasing squirrels is a really fun game, I never catch them but my foster mom says that's okay.
I am a apricot color which you will be able to see once my hair grows a little more. I am neuteured and current on all my shots and health checks.
I will make a wonderful friend if you would like to adopt me.
Well, as it turns out, there was no need for anyone else to adopt Roman, because he had found his forever home. No one could have been loved more. You will be missed, Roman, and thought of often.
