Playful and energetic but loves to cuddle up as well. He is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained.
Needs: he needs puppy training and would likely excel in a sport activity like agility or scent training. Diesel also suffers from separation anxiety and will need some focused training to help him overcome that.
Diesel is a fun-loving typical Havanese puppy. He loves to be exactly where you are, sometimes getting under your feet. He can get the zoomies and then run and run, or he can just plop down in your lap or somewhere else cushy and settle in for a good nap. Diesel is happy if the lap he settles in belongs to an adult or a well-behaved older child. We don’t know if he has experienced young children.
Diesel has never met a plush toy that he doesn’t just love. He will throw them in the air and chase them, but he will also tear them up to get to the squeaker. You may have to keep a backup supply handy. He also enjoys his daily walks and all that he gets to see and experience.
Diesel can sometimes be hyper-vigilant at different noises or objects that he has not encountered before. Additional opportunities to socialize with other dogs and people, and to experience different environments should help this. Good opportunities for this socialization would include puppy school, grooming, and participating in events with other dogs like dog agility or doggy play dates. He also may benefit from being in a house with a dog a bit older than Diesel who can help teach him the ropes.
Because Diesel loves nothing better than to run, a fenced yard would be a good thing for him so that he could run to his heart’s content in a safe and secure backyard.
If you are looking for an addition to your home that will make you laugh with his antics and melt your heart when he snuggles with you, then Diesel may be the perfect fit…just be ready for his energy, he is every bit an energetic puppy!
