We would like to introduce Howie the Happy Havanese. Howie is approximately 1 year old. He is about 12 lbs, and best described as a gray and white lovebug.
He is very active, loves to play ball and enjoys his squeaky toys. He is great with the elderly, children and other dogs (most of the time). His best friend is his foster mom’s 5 year old grandson! He is not too fond of cats so we recommend a cat free home for this little guy. If you like waking up every morning to big brown eyes and loads of kisses and a snuggler on your lap while watching TV, be sure and check out Howie. His foster mom is still working on potty training but he does well if he has a fenced yard, plus he likes to run and play as well. He will play outside for hours, throwing a ball and chasing it or chasing the grandkids. He i
s crate trained, walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. He always has a smile on his face and can make any bad day better. Howie will do wonderfully in a family home with older children. He loves to play ball, does the Havanese 500 until he falls out with exhaustion, and will snuggle right next to you when evening comes. He definitely needs a home with no kitties. He will need consistency and patience with house training. He will bark at strangers or someone at the door, but he is not an excessive barker. He would also do well with a single person home, as long as there is plenty of play time and regular walks. Howie would love to have a home with some kids to play with and a fenced in back yard to run and play. Another dog would be nice, but not necessary. The more love and attention he gets the more he gives back.
Howie will make an amazing, loving family member for someone patient and committed in giving him lots of love and attention.
