DeDe spent eight wonderful years with her adoptve family, who opened their hearts and home to this great dog, after failing at Fostering 101. DeDe was a classic "Velcro" Havanese. She was 3 years old at the time of her adoption, and a 14 lb. charmer who LOVED, kids, people, other dogs, along with tummy rubs! She was very playful and agile. She was also very gentle, friendly and eager to please.DeDe loved going for walks, but her leash manners were somewhat lacking when she came to HRI. Her foster parents worked with her and reported at that time that she improved a great deal. She learned quickly and enjoyed training.
DeDe was housebroken, but sometimes had a little tinkle (only a drop or two) when she got VERY excited, though her foster parents reported that she wasn't even doing that much anymore. She was an asset to the loving family who was adored in return by this sweet little girl, who will live on in their memories!
